DETAILS REGARDING COVID-19 DISRUPTIONS

In response to the spread of COVID-19, Junction City and Clay Center Livestock Sales have taken the following steps in order to maintain the safety and health of producers and staff of our livestock markets. Because livestock markets are listed as an essential business under Kansas Governor Kelly’s Executive Order 20-16, we are allowed to maintain current operations, with the following adjustments:

  • Junction City hog/cattle and Clay Center cattle/sheep & goat sales are now being offered online via the CattleUSA.com. Interested buyers must register one day prior to the sale in order to purchase.

  • Cosigners who have no plan to purchase livestock should deliver livestock and then return home rather than remain at the facility. Checks can be delivered into the parking lot or mailed following competition of the sale.

  • Both restaurants will remain closed until further notices.

  • Employees or visitors who exhibit symptoms of illness must stay home or they may be asked to leave.

  • Buyer’s are encouraged to sit 6 feet apart to comply with social distancing recommendations.

  • Each barn is limited to a maximum of 50 people including barn staff. One represented per family is recommended to keep numbers low.

For further questions about changes related to illness and COVID-19, call our barns or send an email to jccclivestock@gmail.com Stay safe and healthy.
